Fillings
Cavities and decay can cause serious health problems and severe discomfort if left untreated. Dentists use many different methods to repair this kind of damage to teeth, but most commonly a simple tooth-coloured filling (composite) can be used to repair the cavity. Once the filling is placed it prevents the development of infections and the structure is restored.
However, sometimes a simple composite filling is not possible if the cavity is large or a lot of the tooth structure is already lost. In these cases there are a number of options available such as an amalgam filling, a ceramic inlay, an onlay or a crown may be required. Our dentists would be happy to discuss all of your options and you can make an informed decision that suits you best.
